We launched strong last week with 10 locally reported, original stories covering a wide swath of topics. We told readers about a possible repurposing of a vacant jail facility; talked with candidates running for supervisor and school board seats; offered up tips for combatting election misinformation; profiled a rising political star; shared details about upgrades to a popular Oro Valley recreational area; checked in with young voters on the University of Arizona campus; took a trip to Nogales to learn about a nonprofit that promotes cycling; and talked with politicians about what could happen if voters flip the state legislature next month.

We also sent out daily newsletters Monday through Friday, and a Sunday edition to help readers catch up on coverage they might have missed.

That's a lot of ground to cover in a single week, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing team of reporters and interns. We've got a great second week planned, but our ability to continue to do this work depends on the community's support.
